š Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct continuous patrols of assigned areas to detect fire hazards and unsafe conditions
Monitor all hot work operations (welding, cutting, grinding, etc.) to ensure compliance with fire safety protocols
Ensure fire extinguishers and suppression equipment are present and readily accessible
Maintain clear access to exits and emergency pathways
Immediately report any sparks, flame spread, smoke, or hazardous conditions
Take immediate action in case of fire emergency and notify emergency services if required
Enforce site safety rules and maintain constant vigilance during active operations
Remain onsite during mandatory post-work cooldown periods as required by fire code
Accurately complete daily firewatch activity logs and incident reports
Maintain communication with site supervisors and project management
ā Requirements:
Valid and active Guard License
Experience with firewatch or construction site security preferred
Reliable transportation
Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
Ability to remain standing/walking for extended periods
Must be dependable and punctual
