***PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING ME.

There are several items that would normally convey with a 2006 Cayman S that DO NOT convey with this listing as well as several items that are not shown in the pictures that DO convey...

This vehicle is being offered for sale with the intention of providing a private party and / or shop with a REPLACEMENT CAGED CHASSIS, because they've destroyed their original platform or they're simply looking for a good starting point to a race car build, that will save them A LOT of time and money.

I am NOT committing to providing anyone a complete assembled race car - please read the details.

I am not offering any warranty, promises, hopes and / or prayers associated with this vehicle...other than a simple wish that I see it back in operation, once again, going fast, owner happy.

This vehicle was purchased at auction, stripped down, caged and in the process of being built as a PCA / NASA / ITC series race car. It does not have a current title, it was sold on a New York Salvage Certificate and associated Bill of Sale. This paperwork will be provided upon completion of sale.

If you're not a fan of buying a salvaged vehicle...PLEASE MOVE ALONG, as it is pointless to discuss anything further...please consider MY time, as well as yours - thank you, details are below:

_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

2006 Porsche Cayman S w/ full cage. NO crash history or signs of damage other than flooding.
Vehicle is a victim of Hurricane Sandy and all auction / state of NY paperwork convey with sale.
Ownership will be via Bill of Sale...that's how I own two of my race cars - with NO issues.

***NO ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, EXHAUST or INTERIOR COMPONENTS ARE PRESENT.***

Vehicle was partially submerged in flood waters and purchased via auction.
Any stripping / modifying / cage installation, etc. was performed AFTER PURCHASE.

The original wiring harness / engine / electronics / interior components have been removed and disposed of.
Interior is completely stripped, with the exception of the under-dash support bar, which holds the pedals and steering column in place.

After stripping the interior, a Roll Cage was professionally fabricated / installed by an A+ welder (Sports Car Shop, Chantilly, Va.) - only the harness bar needs to be welded in...bar is included, original owner (short person) wanted to get the seats mocked up prior to welding in the harness bar. There are a few incomplete welds that will need to be finished up, near the A and B pillars. Cage has been in the elements for a little over a year now, there is surface rust, no pitting or serious rust...a scotchbrite scrub and chemical wipe down should prepare it nicely for paint...or use a rust prep style primer base and GO.

The interior / cage definitely need to be painted...the roof panel is tack-welded in place for easy removal to facilitate any cage modifications / painting.

The body is in great shape, with no noticeable dings, etc. ALL glass is included, windshield will either be handed over or glued in place for transport. All body panels are present with the exception of the front bumper cover. The rear spoiler and mechanism convey, spoiler mechanism is a replacement. (currently stored in hatch area).

Headlights / Tail Lights included...headlights have been submerged, but should operate with new bulbs.
The vehicle arrived without tail lights, I have purchased good used replacements (shown in pics).

Original S suspension, S brakes and most plastic under body panels convey.
I have installed racing studs / lug nuts and a set of Racing Dynamics 18" wheels.
The tires are very used and only present for moving the vehicle around.

The complete cooling system remains, radiators / mounts, all factory piping / tubing remain all the way back to the engine bay. I have removed the cooling fans and relay, which is pretty standard for a race Cayman.

The factory ABS / Master / Slave and Clutch cylinders remain, the cylinders should be unaffected, the factory ABS unit is sealed...so I'm thinking it should be OK.

***WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH SALE:

Engine / Transmission / Exhaust System / CV Axles / Shift Cables / MOST Factory Interior Components / Gauges

***WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH SALE:

What you see in the pics: rolling chassis, caged, w/ brakes, wheels, radiators, gas tank & pump / glass (windshield included), rear spoiler with electric mechanism, most under trays, etc.

A dashboard and factory wiring harness with all relays / fuses, 6spd shifter and matching steering column / magnetic lock / PAS unit / ECU / Dashboard (beige), HVAC Controls and HVAC unit - all complete and ready to start the vehicle will be provided...these items will NOT be installed as the interior / cage needs to be painted.

***WHAT I HAVE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE: (NOT INCLUDED)

A low-mileage 987S 6spd. Transmission, NO LSD
Various Racing Steering Wheels / Releases
Older Racing Seats (Recaro Pole Position from 2005 997 GT3 Cup)
Various Seat Mounting Brackets (most are new)
Fabspeed and Cargraphic Headers / AASCO Lightweight Flywheel
I usually have a Dash Gauge Cluster and MUCH MUCH MORE available.

***I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE AN ENGINE AVAILABLE***

I pretty much have everything on hand to make this a full on race car, with the exception of an engine, race mufflers, clutch, LSD unit and current safety equipment (belts / nets, etc.) - please inquire.

Buyer can elect to add or delete most parts with the purchase...in other words, if you don't want the wheels, I can lower the price...if you would like a 6spd transmission, I would be more than happy to negotiate a package deal to include said transmission...I am very flexible, but everything costs money. Please come with reasonable expectations and negotiation skills. I'm not going to "wholesale" the car out, I'm not going to part this vehicle out...I am in NO WAY, shape or form...going to accept a "low ball" offer - so save it, please.

What you will get in return: tons of advice from experience in building / managing / upgrading these vehicles, an honest transaction and a solid platform of which to build your Cayman race car. I own several Caymans and absolutely love them. I drive a 987S on the street and race another on the track.

Please, contact me only if you are a SERIOUS BUYER, if you understand that this vehicle does not have a current / valid title, if you understand it is a flood victim...any original electronics / wiring associated have been disposed of and all items will be replaced with solid factory components.
