Complete 1971-72 FX Big Twin and 1964-71 Sportster OEM front wheel, minus brake assembly. I took this wheel off a late 1960’s Sportster back in the 1970’s and it hasn’t been on a bike for the last 50 years. The wheel’s drop center rim is in nice shape, with no dents or hits. None of the spokes are bent or broken. The hub is also in nice shape, however it’s center section has been altered. The ribs that are normally there have been machined off, leaving a perfectly smooth center. I lived just outside of NYC back then and that was considered a nice custom alteration during the late 1960’s. (Actually, many people still think so.) The brake surface inside the hub is also in nice shape, as you can see in the photos. You can also see where the wheel spacer made some marks on the smooth outer face of the hub. The hub, spokes, and rim are chromed. The chrome is in good shape for a daily rider, but definitely not show condition. The hub and rim have some small pits in the chrome, as seen in the photos, which show the worst ones though there really isn’t a lot of them. The spokes have the most damaged chrome, but, again, okay for a daily rider. I didn't spend any time cleaning them, up so they should look better after you work on them a bit. I can supply more detailed pics if needed. The 3.00-19” tire is the Avon Speedmaster MK II we all ran back then. And though the thread is still good, I wouldn’t recommend using a 50-year-old tire. Definitely change the wheel bearings.
