Position Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily production operations across batching, canning, and bottling lines. This role owns output, efficiency, quality, and team performance on the production floor.
This is a hands-on leadership role—the ideal candidate can manage people, solve problems in real time, and drive production at scale in a fast-paced beverage environment.

Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
• Oversee all daily production activities across multiple lines (canning, bottling, batching)
• Execute production schedules to meet customer deadlines and volume targets
• Ensure throughput goals are achieved (CPM, daily can output, yield efficiency)
• Coordinate with scheduling to optimize line utilization and minimize downtime

Team Management
• Lead, train, and supervise machine operators, line leads, and production staff
• Build accountability and performance standards across shifts
• Manage staffing levels, shift coverage, and overtime needs
• Develop team members and identify future line leaders and supervisors

Operational Execution
• Drive efficient changeovers between SKUs and packaging formats
• Monitor production metrics (output, downtime, scrap, efficiency)
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in real time
• Partner with maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability

Quality & Food Safety
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and all food safety standards
• Work closely with QC team to maintain product specifications (fill levels, carbonation, seams, etc.)
• Support implementation and execution of SQF certification standards
• Enforce sanitation, line clearance, and documentation protocols

Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste
• Optimize production flow, material handling, and line efficiency
• Drive standardization of SOPs across all production lines
• Support scaling efforts, including new equipment and facility expansion

Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with batching, warehouse, QC, and shipping teams
• Ensure raw materials and packaging components are available and staged
• Communicate production status, delays, and performance to leadership
• Collaborate with leadership on capacity planning and growth strategy

Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing (beverage, food, or packaging preferred)
• 2+ years in a production leadership or supervisory role
• Strong experience with high-speed production lines (canning/bottling preferred)
• Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong mechanical and operational troubleshooting skills
• Experience with GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems
• Experience working in a co-packing or multi-SKU environment is highly preferred
