GovCIO is currently hiring for a Engineering Technical Writer to support modernizion efforts. This position will be loced in Hampton, VA Joint Base Langley-Eustis and will be a fully onsite position.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Writer specializing in technical policy and compliance. You will interact with engineering teams to cree and refine diagnostic procedures and documention for use by non-engineers. You will improve editorial and visual standards for documention and recommend new designs, layouts, and formting as needed. This position is loced Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia.

 Key Responsibilities

• Transle complex technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly language without losing technical accuracy
• Genere innovive ideas for content and workflow solutions
• Collabore with engineering, quality assurance, and regulory teams to ensure documention meets industry standards
• Analyze informion required for the development or upde of policy, procedure and form documention
• Manage task and informion flow using collaborion software such as SharePoint
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team

High School with 9+ years (or commensure experience)

Required Skills and Experience

Clearance: TS/SCI 

• Strong network/systems engineering background
• Strong understanding of engineering terminology, technical standards, and compliance frameworks
• Creing visual aids, flow charts, structured temples to improve comprehension and usability 
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of documention to ensure accuracy, currency, and compliance with evolving regulions
• Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, actionable language
• Familiarity with controlled document management systems and version control practices

Preferred Skills and Experience 

• Attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency in documention
• Familiarity with various tools and software used for technical writing
