Overview: To help build structures, with tasks ranging from preparing and cleaning up job sites to loading and unloading materials. Using tools and equipment, and helping tradespeople with tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Move and carry tools around the job site
• Clean and prepare job sites
• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain construction equipment and machinery
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other building materials
• Operate small hand and power tools
• Perform basic carpentry work and framing
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials
• Follow safety guidelines and regulations
• Communicate with coworkers and supervisors about job tasks and concerns
• Other tasks as assigned
Education: GED or High School diploma preferred
Experience: 3-4 years concrete finishing and form setting required
Certifications and Licenses: Driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently through the day
Must be able to push pull and carry
Must be able to use hands to manipulate tools and materials
Must be able to reach with arms
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to kneel, bend, and twist
Must be able to see and hear
