Hazel is a 13-year-old, 15hh chestnut Saddlebred mare looking for her next home. She’s a sweet, quiet, and very reliable horse that’s been used for casual riding and is suitable for a variety of riders.
She is up to date on vaccines, Coggins, and teeth floating. Hazel is an easy keeper and currently only wears front shoes.
Hazel rides both English and Western and knows her basics well—walk, trot, and canter both directions. She was introduced to jumping a few years ago and handled it well. One of her best qualities is her temperament—she can sit for months and still be the same horse when you get back on. No vices, very calm, and easy to handle.
She is very forgiving and trustworthy—I can put my kids on her and feel comfortable letting them ride. She’s the kind of horse that just goes on her way without fuss, making her a great option for someone looking for a safe, laid-back partner.
She’s been a great, low-maintenance horse and is ready for her next person. I deployed for 9 months came back and jumped on her.
