LP MANAGER POSITION
Responsible for detecting, reporting, and resolving all issues related to Loss Prevention and Inventory Shortage. Directly involved in training store associates on all shrink reduction and Inventory Preparation programs. Supervises and trains Loss Prevention staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Tours store daily, identifies deficiencies that cause shrink and implements corrective action or recommends corrective action to Store Manager/Director.
2. Detects and resolves internal and external theft incidents and reports internal theft incidents to Loss Prevention District Manager for instruction. Reports serious incidents to Store Manager/Director in order to resolve and reduce the number of incidents.
3. Monitors areas of visible and invisible shrink and correct deficiencies found in order to reduce shrink.
4. Supervises Loss Prevention Associates to ensure proper handling of Loss Prevention matters, including the area of shrink control. Prepares schedule for Loss Prevention Associates.
5. Assists in training store associates in all areas of Loss Prevention including shrink control and Inventory Preparation procedures.
6. Maintains accurate Loss Prevention records. Completes and submits required Loss Prevention reports in a timely manner to all appropriate parties.
7. Maintains company Unit Integrity Program.
8. Directly involved in the preparation, completion and follow-up of the stores cycle inventory process according to policy in order to control shrink.
9. Reports, records, and follows-up on customer service accidents and assists when necessary in the investigation of associate accidents in order to resolve and reduce the number of incidents.
10. Communicates with the store team members and management regarding Loss Prevention issues in order to assist them in understanding Loss Prevention. Maintains good relations with the local law enforcement agencies in order to obtain assistance when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Basic reading, writing, oral and arithmetic skills.
2. Minimum one to two years Retail Loss Prevention experience or equivalent.
3. Ability to make appropriate decisions in stressful situations.
4. Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
