7 MONTHS

Beginning on April 9, 2009, and running for 7 consecutive months, Hampton Roads Writers (HRW) will begin a literary tour that will visit all 7 cities and present 7 workshops. Authors, educators and novelists will share their knowledge and expertise about a variety of writing genres, giving instruction and guidance on how to succeed in each.

Novelist Christy Barritt will present a 2 hour workshop entitled: 10 Common Mistakes of Fiction Writers

Having trouble with your novel? Novelist Christy Barritt will show you some basic problems many novels encounter. This workshop will cover a broad range of issues and will help both beginning and seasoned novelists identify areas of weakness in their manuscripts. Laced with examples and hands-on exercises, participants will walk away with the steps they need to get their work-in-progress on an agent or editor’s desk.

$15.00 non-member/ $12.00 member
