I am selling a 25' Ericson Sailboat. It is a 1975 model with a fixed keel so there is a lots of space in the cabin. The boat is in great condition, very clean inside and out. I bought this boat in the spring and had it out on the Chesapeake about 9 days this summer. Far less than I would have liked. It sails great and is a solid boat. I did a 50 mile sail this summer with no issues. When I bought it I spent about 2k cleaning it and re-doing the bottom. The bottom was cleaned of all old bottom paint and a new epoxy barrier coat was applied followed by hard multi-season antifouling pant. It is the kind you can scrub and should be good for a few more seasons before anything needs to be done. The paint used was almost 200 bucks per gallon.

The boat has a 9.9hp motor, though it seems to be on the fritz. I replaced all the running rigging a few months ago so all the lines are very clean and new (cost me about 300 bucks). The mainsail is nice and crisp. There is a roller furler on it, but the headsails are hank-on. It has a working jib and a 130 genoa. You could take the furler off and use these straight away or get furling sails. It has a head, but no holding tank.

I was in the process of making this boat sweet, but unfortunately I have been traveling much more for work than I anticipated and I just don't get enough use out of it to justify the expense of dockage. It looks great and sails great and is in the water. It is currently at salt ponds marina in Hampton.

Motor has not been run this year at all. Id recommend rebuilding the motor, its in rough shape. I got an estimate done by a reliable marine shop and to rebuild would cost just under $1000. I've got twice that into the outdrive already. Upholstery on the deck isn't in great shape. Solid boat that looks great. Comes with: trailer w/spare tire, 2 new batteries, Fish/depth finder(I believe its a Garmin but I can't remember at the moment), Apelco VXL5150 marine radio, dock bumpers, 2 life preservers, anchor,porta potty, sun top, and 2 sets of rabbit ears(to clean out the outdrive).

It wont take much work to make turn this boat into brand new condition, but I have to move to the west coast very soon and I can't take it with me. Need it gone ASAP.
